Saramento, Ca - Ballance Racing -Performance Chevrolet Beretta qualified #1 for the WCTSA race with a soft 6.92 at 200.66 mph. This placed a first round matchup with # 5 qualifier Erich Neola (7.50).  It was Erich at the green with a .014 light and 7.56 (7.50 dial) to Doug 6.95 (6.92 dial). Congratulations to Erich Neola who went on to win the event.

Match Race:  We were asked to sub in for the Match race between Scott Bailey and Bob Bunker Sr.  After the first round matchup (Bailey & Bunker) we got inserted for Bunker who had an ailing motor.  We were happy to accept the challenge and put on a good show.

At the green Bailey got the holeshot, but soon after both cars had problems. Doug moving towards the center, backpeddaled and getting back into the throttle to get to the stripe first and turn on the win light with a 9.15 to Balieys 11.08.

Ballance Racing would like to thank Scott Bailey and Bob Bunker for the opportunity to fill in.
